Located about midway between Atlanta and Montgomery, AL, LaGrange sees a lot of passers-by but few stay long enough to really enjoy the town. Small but prestigious, LaGrange College keeps the town's little downtown vibrant and fresh. What the town is most known for, however, is its location next to West Point Lake. During the fishing season, bass fishermen from all over the region head to the lake to practice their skills and compete against one another for the best catch. While it's possible to camp right on the shores, the town is close enough that an overnight hotel stay won't affect your ability to still be one of the first on the lake in the morning.
